Cheung Kune Pai or "Long Fist Boxing" is accredited to Emperor Sung Tai Jow of the Sung Dynasty. Derived from Shaolin's offensive techinuqes, it gained much respect and usage as the first long range offensive system, a departure from the the short range defensive systems of the time. From 960 -1279 it was taught only to the Royal Family and the Imperial Guard. Due to it's superiority, it became the predominate offensive war fare system. Masters refer to it as "The brave father of the Chinese Marital Arts"
